Natural resources
In the depths of Belarus deposits of potassium and rock salt, brown coal, oil shales, iron ore, mineral construction raw materials, peat, insignificant deposits of oil and some others have been explored.
Potable and mineral water of high quality is especially abundant. All in all, there are 20.8 thousand rivers with the total length of 90.6 thousand km and 10.8 thousand lakes in the country.
